A Pink Camellia (Japonica?) rose in full bloom. Emphasis is on the multiple layered and rich texture of the petals set against a soft green background… accentuating the striking brilliance of the rose.

“Fuchsia Fusion”

A blending of explosive color from a solitary Fuchsia bloom. The potent arrangement of the petals is almost like fabric with the deep purple layers blending with the vivid red beneath. My intent was to create a powerful visual effect with a fusion of dramatic colors in a delicate structure. Photographed in Tucson Arizona.
