    Very nice. Saguaro cacti are such stately “trees”. I love them. I remember seeing a video of them being hewed down to make way for a subdivision of some kind. Very sad.

      The Saguaros are a federally protected species now. There are severe penalties for damaging or destroying them. It is possible to get a permit to move them for construction purposes. You can purchase them at licensed nurseries as long as they have a tag showing they were obtained legally. A Saguaro that is about waist high will cost several hundred dollars. I have one growing in a bucket that is about a foot high. They can live for a couple hundred years and grow to be in excess of 50 feet tall. They are so majestic.
