    I love cactus, especially those huge ones – which I got to see on a trip to Baja Mexico some years back.

      It is difficult to find words to describe the majesty of these giant sentinels of the desert. I remember as a kid seeing them in cowboy shows I watched on TV… and I was fascinated with them way back then. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would one day live in an area where they would be everywhere. I never tire of seeing them… photographing them… and just basking in their stateliness. I have one in my personal cacti collection… but it is only about the size of a football. It has a lot of growing to do… but I’ll never live long enough to see it. Regardless… they are awesome… large or small.

    I watched every cowboy film going and dreamed of seeing those places. At least I lived for a while in Calgary – cowboy country, and spent many winters in Mexico! Lived a few dreams! 🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵☺
