Oh dear. As unexpected for him as for you. Perfect for the challenge, though.

Yes… it is very sad. And every time I photograph an emergency situation I think about how the incident will affect the individual… their families… and how their lives might change… all in a fraction of a moment. While I photograph many emergency vehicles and incidents… I always want to be sensitive to the subject matter. I sometimes might ascribe a “catchy” title… but I want to be sure I do not take away from the gravity of the situation and the integrity of the individuals involved. Thank you for your comment Janet.

When I hear a siren or see an ambulance go by, I like to pray for the person or people being helped and for those who are helping. It’s a good reminder.

I couldn’t agree with you more Janet. I am very appreciative of you mentioning this.

OMG — how scary and sad! I hope there is/was rapid recovery. Like Janet, when I hear or see an ambulance I send prayers for those involved — as well as when I see someone on the side of the road — I ask that they be surrounded with protection, and the appropriate person stops to assist.

Thanks for commenting Amar… I know nothing about the victim or his condition. But I do believe from what I saw at the scene that his injuries were not life threatening.
