You are probably right… however the features and structures of rocks and minerals are things that I know very little about. I wouldn’t know linear platy cleavage if it introduced itself to me on the street! I do know a “pretty rock” when I see one!
This is Kyanite… which was described to me as a “blue silicate mineral”. This specimen was from Australia and was on display (and for sale) at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.
What is it? Looks like it ha a linear platy cleavage
