This visual statement is a photograph of a detail taken from an abstract mural on the exterior of a local business. What drew me to this design was the perception of a cracked surface through which a vibrant and colorful pattern is revealed. The stylized and curved design of red… blue… and orange set against a yellow background… along with the harsh exterior… draws attention to the beauty among the simulated deterioration.
